Another dance competition . . .

We "placed" in a competition finally!! We went to the Provo High Dancesport competition on Saturday. Kinda eventful. We danced Open Novice Latin first. . . didn't make it past the first round. Interestingly enough, the judges were exactly opposite of dancesport. At dancesport, none of the judges likes our rumba, but they all liked our samba. This time, we got all our call backs on rumba, and only one on samba. Interesting. But that was ok, because when we went to the bleachers to sit down, I leaned forward, and the zipper on my dress popped! I threw on a jacket as fast as I could. It was bad. And when we got home, we found that one side of the zipper had completely come out of the zip (does that make sense?). So now I'm out a dress. Gotta find one by the 21st. Anywho. Later that night we went back to dance the college competitions. So we get ready to line up for the Silver Rumba routine . . . and we notice there is only one other couple there as well. When the line up lady comes around to call our event, we find out there are only 2 people registered for this event. Wow . . . so we walked out, all two couples of us, and competed. We "placed" 2nd in the Rumba . . . out of 2. Then we got ready for our Gold Paso routine . . . Kinda the same thing except this time, there were 3 couples. And we "placed" 3rd . . . of 3. Yay for dancing! But we had fun, had a good practice run through of things, broke a dress in the process. I hope it doesn't cost me much . . . eek. We'll see. We dance again at UVU come the 21st, then at American Fork on the 28th. Then 2 weeks later it'll be dancesport again! yay
